The games are designed for the corporate environment so they are particularly relevant to the daily work and career progression of all employees
Unlike many Serious Games that are arguably just computer based training (CBT) under a thin gaming veneer, our games at Wisdom Games are specifically designed to be entertaining and immersive. There is as much focus on the game-play experience as there is on the knowledge being transferred. It is our belief that a boring game that nobody wants to play is useless. While, a fun game can have people learning without even knowing that they are learning.
Our games are online simulations of business reality. Just as many live business simulations attempt to educate through play, we do too. However, our online game environment is enduring and can be accessed at any time, not just during a special event set aside for it. Similarly, our online gaming simulation environment can be, and is, continually updated to add new experiences and to reflect the changing realities of your organisation.
We are aware that most corporate environments are not set up as game arcades and most machines have software and hardware restrictions that would not favour resource intensive gaming. With this in mind, we make sure that our games are appropriately scaled to run within the restricted environments offering the best possible gaming experience.
Consulting
Our consulting process is built on the principles of Appreciative Inquiry. This means that:

b] It is narrative based and uses interviews to elicit stories from those drawn into the process
c] It looks to the future with a clear understanding of the influence of the past
d] It understands that the future is created, and comes as a result of the choices we make in the present… realising that we have multiple choices available at any one time
The data elicited in the consulting process becomes the underlying resource and reference for the game
Through 10 sessions lasting 1hour each, that are spread out over the course of three months we build a comprehensive view of the “Wisdom” of the person being interviewed.
The unique value of our consulting process lies in its ability to draw out the the story and value that each individual holds that makes them valuable to the company while employed, and that is generally lost should they leave for any reason.
These stories are generally missed by traditional Knowledge Management processes.
In conjunction with traditional knowledge management these stories are embedded into the organisation’s DNA where they are accessed and transferred to others using the gaming vehicle.
While this Wisdom Extraction process is underway the design of the game is finalised using our parallel game design and project management processes.
